I am going to call it. Probably one of, if not the best, steaks this fat hairy face has consumed since moving to Singapore. This was an absolute stunner. Charcoal overtones giving that smoke, a bark to die for, melt-in-the-mouth meat, and just a little sprinkle of sea salt = HEAVEN!!! Angels did sing as I ate this. #BeProud Next Door Spanish Cafe, because this was one legendary steak!!!

Gaig Restaurant Singapore Unveils Unique Menu Inspired by Medieval Catalan “Sent Soví” Cookbook

Gaig Restaurant Singapore, renowned for its dedication to preserving Catalan culture and culinary tradition, is set to transport diners on a historical gastronomic journey. The restaurant will introduce a special 5-course menu featuring the oldest known recipes from Catalan cuisine, as documented in the historic “Sent Soví” cookbook, the oldest surviving culinary text in Catalan. 

This unique culinary experience will be curated and executed by Gaig Restaurant Singapore’s Executive Chef, Martí Carlos Martinez in collaboration with Michelin Star Chef Carles Gaig, the Alma Mater of Gaig Restaurants.

Taking its name after the word for fire and warmth in Spanish, Lumbre is a Spanish restaurant bringing the best from land and sea, farm to table, cooked by two signature means of choice – an open wood-fire grill or Josper charcoal oven.

Parés Baltà is a family winery with a long winemaking tradition dating back to 1790. Asador is a Restaurant inspired by traditional Spanish food and cooking methods. It is located in Joo Chiat—a neighborhood that is up-and-coming to become a food and lifestyle district. This outlet represents the second chapter of the adventure started in 2020 with Next Door Spanish Café. 

Asador aims to bring a truly Spanish experience that will engage all your senses by cooking food in direct contact with the embers of a fire on a Basque-style grill or in a Castilian oven at high temperatures.

Chefs Daniel & Tamara Chávez unveiled their second in Dempsey Hill named TINTO Spanish Tapas, Paellas, and Wine. Home to regional dishes and wine, in the enclave of Dempsey Hill. Taking its name and inspiration from the Spanish name for red wine, vino tinto, TINTO paints the many colours, flavours, and dishes that will transport you to the wide variety of regions of Spain. 

Only for the period of the promotion of the ESDS, Elias Mora Crianza, an outstanding wine from Toro, Spain with 93 points by Robert Parker, will be available by the glass.

Established in December 2011, ESQUINA continues to be at the forefront of the local Spanish food scene in Singapore. The modern restaurant, spearheaded by Barcelona-born Head Chef Carlos Montobbio, specialises in contemporary cuisine showcasing Spanish and Catalan flavors.

Tapas 24 is taking their offerings to the next level by setting up a dedicated station at the restaurant’s entrance, featuring a curated selection of Spanish wine packs. These packs include a delightful assortment of Cava, white, and red wines. 

Alongside the wines, they will showcase a range of delectable items such as tins of olives, premium olive oil, “De La Vera” paprika (both sweet and hot varieties), “La Catedral de Navarra” Piparra peppers, as well as Manchego and Idiazabal cheese. This captivating display will be available throughout the entire month, adding a touch of Spanish flair to the dining experience.

From Monday to Friday, Tapas 24 presents two enticing combo options. The first combo features a glass of the exquisite Loidana magnu, Priorat red wine, perfectly paired with a plate of indulgent Manchego and Idiazabal cheese, accompanied by chorizo sausage and tomato bread. Additionally, they offer a tantalizing tasting experience of olive oil with salt and bread, allowing guests to savor the flavors to the fullest. 

The second combo boasts a glass of the rich Loidana magnu, Priorat red wine, complemented by Stuffed “Piquillo” peppers filled with savory stewed oxtail and a creamy piquillo béchamel sauce.

For the weekends, Tapas 24 introduces Vermouth Days, where guests can enjoy a glass of Vermut Bandarra in white, rose, or red varieties. As an alternative to vermouth, they offer a choice of orange wines, such as Bat Berri or Itsas Mendi.
