Buffalo Wild Wings Sauce: Zest of Lemon Pepper: Lemon Pepper Sauce
In an effort to elevate the classic Buffalo Wing experience, we introduced this flavorful and versatile sauce. Utilizing a savory combination of hot peppers and garlic, this vibrant concoction is ideal for any occasion!
Plain old lemon pepper sauce gets an unexpected twist with a dash of hot pepper flakes. This can be used as an alternative to hotter sauces on wings or even stirred into other foods like mashed potatoes or mac ‘n’ cheese!
Creating a replica of Buffalo Wild Wings’ Zest of Lemon Pepper: Lemon Pepper Sauce can be a delightful experience at home. Here’s a recipe for it:
Supplies:
Frying pan, deep fryer or dutch oven
Paper towels for draining
Measuring glass
Large bowl with lid
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 1/4 cup honey (optional*) see notes
- 2 tbsp. oil (canola or vegetable)
- 1 1/2-2 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 20 chicken wings (separated)
- Extra lemon pepper seasoning
Instructions:
- Begin by heating up your oil for frying.
- Pat all your chicken dry. This prevents splattering by hot oil and ensures crispy skin.
- Once the oil is hot, begin frying your first batch of wings, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Each batch will take about 12-15 mins, remember to turn the wings halfway through.
- Whilst the first batch is cooking, start making the clarified butter for the sauce.
- Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat, then remove from heat and scrape off the foam from the top.
- After removing as much foam as you can, pour the clarified butter into a measuring glass.
Scoop out any foam that floats to the top. - Now, add in the oil and lemon pepper seasoning. Include honey if you prefer to balance the tanginess.
- Let the mixture sit in the fridge for about 5 mins. It will begin to thicken.
- Drain the fried chicken on paper towels, then place them into a large bowl after 2-3 mins.
- Fry the remaining wings and then add them to the bowl.
- Stir the lemon pepper sauce well and pour over the hot chicken wings.
- Secure the top of the bowl and toss the chicken to ensure it’s fully coated.
- Sprinkle on extra lemon pepper seasoning or honey, depending on whether you prefer it tangier or a little sweeter, then serve and enjoy!
Notes:
If some people eating the wings do not prefer overly tart lemon pepper wings, the tanginess can be reduced by adding honey to the sauce or drizzling it directly onto the chicken.
Remember to adjust the recipe to suit your personal preference – whether that means adding more or less lemon pepper seasoning. Happy cooking!
Buffalo Wild Wings Sauce: BBW Bold and Spicy: Sriracha Buffalo Sauce
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at Buffalo Wild Wings, chances are that you’ve experienced their bold and spicy Sriracha sauce. This fiery condiment takes wing with a kick just like heat from jalapeno peppers, so if you’re looking for a kick-start to your meal this sauce is suitable for any occasion!
BBW Bold and Spicy: Sriracha Buffalo Sauce is an exceptionally versatile sauce, featuring both bold and subtle flavors that can be easily paired with other sauces to create an infinite number of sensational flavor combinations. If you’re searching for something to spice up your routine or add some life into your cooking – don’t miss out on this one!
We guess you are looking for a recipe for the Buffalo Wild Wings’ (BW3) Bold and Spicy: Sriracha Buffalo Sauce so I created a similar recipe based on the typical ingredients found in a Sriracha Buffalo Sauce.
Here is a homemade version of a Sriracha Buffalo Sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Sriracha Sauce
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons of white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Once the butter is melted, add the Sriracha sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Stir the mixture continuously until it’s fully combined.
- Reduce the heat to low, and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Stir occasionally to avoid any ingredients sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
- Taste the sauce and adjust with salt if needed. If you want more heat, you can add a bit more cayenne pepper.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool before using.
Remember, this is a homemade version and might not taste exactly like the BW3 Sriracha Buffalo Sauce. However, it should offer a similar balance of heat and flavor.
Please also note that Buffalo Wild Wings sauces often contain a wide variety of spices, as mentioned in reference. So, to get a flavor more similar to BW3’s specific sauce, you might want to experiment by adding some additional spices or ingredients based on your taste preferences.

Buffalo Wild Wings Sauce: Asian Garlic Teriyaki: Teriyaki Sauce
As the name implies, this sauce is a sweet and savory concoction that provides an intensely flavorful experience. Richly spiced with savory Japanese ingredients like ginger and garlic, it gives off an irresistible aroma that beckons enticement in all its glory!
For those seeking a truly exotic meal, try Asian Garlic Teriyaki sauce. Rather than rely on familiar beef-based creations such as teriyaki or marinades for poultry – let alone fish – trust us when we say this incredible sauce will transform even your most mundane dishes into something tantalizingly new!
Using a touch of creative license to account for the “Buffalo Wild Wings” Garlic Teriyaki flavor, here is a recipe that should get close to the BW3 Asian Garlic Teriyaki sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce (120ml)
- 2 tablespoons Mirin (30ml)
- 1/2 inch knob Ginger, minced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar (30ml)
- 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice (60ml)
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken)
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon Chili Sauce (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
- Combine soy sauce, mirin, minced ginger, minced garlic, brown sugar, and pineapple juice in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat.
- While the mixture is simmering, in a separate bowl, combine cornstarch with water and stir until it dissolves.
- Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, stirring continuously. This will thicken the sauce. Be sure to add the cornstarch mixture gradually to prevent the sauce from becoming too thick.
- Add sesame oil and chili sauce to the pan, stirring it well.
- Simmer the mixture over low heat until it reaches your desired consistency. Remember that the sauce will continue to thicken even after you remove it from the heat, so it’s better to remove it when it’s slightly less thick than you want.
- Once the sauce is done, let it cool before using it on your wings. It can be stored in a clean, airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- When ready to use, toss the wings in the sauce until they’re well-coated. Enjoy your homemade BWW Asian Garlic Teriyaki Wings!
This recipe draws inspiration from the less sweet Teriyaki sauce mentioned in the first reference and incorporates elements like the Chili Sauce from the Asian Zing Sauce Recipe to give it that spicy kick, which is often found in Buffalo Wild Wings sauces.
As Buffalo Wild Wings’ take on Teriyaki and Asian sauces has been observed to pack much ginger and sweetness while skimping on the sesame and umami, this recipe has attempted to strike a balance by including the sesame oil and minimizing the sweetness. The addition of pineapple juice, an element from the first reference, is expected to give the sauce a bit of a fruity, tangy edge to balance out the strong flavors.
Conclusion
A scrumptious meal doesn’t get much better than this! From the savory to the sweet, these tangy and smoky sauces complement buffalo wings in all sorts of ways, making them an ideal choice for any occasion.
