I used to go here when it was at Tanjong Katong for a beer before and after new tattoos. I’d sit there with a beer finishing off some work and take a photo of the new ‘creation’ and post to Wifey. I noticed it had closed and then when looking for interesting places to eat on New Year’s Eve 2020 I saw this pop up at Bedok Reservoir. I pinged them a note to reserve a table and asked if they were indeed the original from Tanjong Katong and they were – so a blast from the past but a first to actually eat at – it’s only ever been beer before haha. My Nemesis to assist or abate the pain of the tattoo!!!

We will absolutely be going back. It was superb. Bless them too, as they even sent a little note saying the service might be off-point due to under-staffing. Burp, be proud, the ladies on front of house tonight were just brilliant. It was a wonderful service!!! They were all just lovely!!! Go visit them here;#01-3165, 740 Bedok Reservoir Rd, 470740. But I would make sure for a table, so book as it was mobbed. Outside was awesome by the way. Bell them here; 8428 4722.

Strawberry Blonde and Jude Jude both ordered and devoured this accordingly. I snuck a wee taste and it was bloody good. Awesome Mac ‘n’ Cheese AKA on the menu as; Truffle Mac and Cheese + Bacon.

Very happy Hubby & Wifey on New Year’s Eve. Happy to say goodbye to 2020. Sad not to see family and friends overseas though. Love to you all.

Wifey up next with her choice of Bacon Shrimp Aglio Olio. For once am I am going to get a proper review from her? “I like their style for the chilli separation so you can choose how hot you would like it.” and the most amazing descriptive I just got; “It was tasty…” I really do just give up…

This is my Beefy Three Cheese burger. Nice. Not WOW. Just nice. It needed more seasoning and some under-cooking to my preference for medium-rare. But hey, it was good. By the way, order the ‘chips’. Best crisps EVER!!!

#1 goes full-on for Cajun Chicken Tacos. Very fresh and delicious. Crunchy veggies and lovely chipotle. The chicken was lovely. Again, in unison, it was not show-stopping but it was just bloody good and gets a big #1 recommendation.

Burp @ Bedok Reservoir NYE 2020 was a cracker. We loved it. Next door to a bicycle repair shop with a load of caged songbirds tweeting away. Stunning. Plus about 3 kid’s playgrounds in front of you and then the reservoir itself with beautiful views, boardwalks and fishing of course. What a relocation destination. The space is amazing. Although with #1 I would recommend getting one more toilet cubical to avoid that queuing. Use the number above and get booked in and – ENJOY!!!

Father of 3. All my kids are mixed, with English-Japanese, and English-Filipino - a recipe in the making there. I have been cooking since a small lad, as guided by my Nan and my Mum - gradually that morphed through exposure to Thai cooking from a lovely lady called Da in Margate. I used to hang out in her restaurant and watch the techniques. So the 1+1= greater than 2 occurred - Mum/Nan/Da - off I went in to the world of Asian cuisine. Moving to Asia in early 2000's clearly has brought that on somewhat - we travel continually, and eat locally and therefore have exposure to more and more new things. I have lived my dream and written a cook book whilst here, an amazing experience and all for a good cause too as I raised a lot of money for charity. My blog is now hopefully turning in to book number 2. Watch this space. I hope you enjoy my passion.
