Without a doubt the best brunch on the little Red Dot Island in my reckoning. Recommended to us by our mates, The Knibbs, who also came along with us this day. What a cracking day, amazing lunch, fun in party bus and beers in Siglap. A belter. It really was the Best NYE Brunch ever @ Pan Pacific, and we will so be going back there to scoff down more delicious grub.
Itโs not the cheapest of course, but with beer, cocktails and Veuve on free flow along with the incredible food it is well worth every cent. We had such a great time at our Best NYE Brunch ever @ Pan Pacific. And the funny thing was our mates The Hances were sat at next table, and The Halls at the table next to that. Amazing!
I would say to 100% book up. OK it was NYE and was packed from the rafters, but so as not to disappoint I would.
I love how they describe it as โthe theatrical Sunday Champagne Brunch experience awaits at Edgeโ. We have been there before when it was Global Kitchen, WOW what a difference. Refreshed selection of gourmet items perfected with unlimited Veuve Clicquot Champagne, uplifting live music, vibrant Kidsโ Dessert Corner and balloon sculpting for the young ones.
Letโs get some snaps a going to show off this amazing brunch!
First up though it is Star Wars time, wow uber cool Jude! This was the day previous. Lunch with the family, looking for a sofa.
Wifey clearly trying to โfeel the forceโ.Awesome! Good work Orchard Road.Itโs pretty damned cool isnโt it. Just on the street outside one of the shops. Nice!Lunch was at this absolutely superb Mexican in 313 Somerset Shopping Centre. Originally we were going to go to Viva Mexico on Cuppage Terrace, but it has gone. Back to 313, and so so so glad we did as we found Barrio by MexOut. AMAZING!More selfie selfie โ now in the day of Best Brunch!Still feels weird after all these years โ Christmas trees and carols a playing, and 32 degrees outside. Today though it did rain heavy so was very grey, and looked like it could almost be cold out there ha ha! Good work Pan Pacific, looked amazing with the decorations, and how many balloons in those nets???And now with some flash going on too!Awwwww Happy New Year.Whereโs the rest fo the kids? Disappeared. Well Ollie taking the picture of course!Freshest Heirloom Tomatoes, Burrata cheese to die for, and a beetroot and watermelon shot. Not a bad start I have to say Pan Pacific. It just gores on and on, every corner you turn = food. More and more food.Must have got here just after a crowd did a huge sweep of the oysters ha ha. Back in a short while to give you confidence.See what I mean, hereโs your snow crab, cockles, prawns, and lobster tails. See what I mean, certainly no scrimping here!Chinese station now, and more and more and more!!!Now to The Peranakan station. Deep fried fishes, satays galore and dip after dip after dip! One, if not my absolute favourite stations. A whole slow roast lamb, that they carve up and throw in to this unctuous gravy. Hmmm I know Iโll then use that to tailor make my own taco. Holy Shit! What a dish! I could have stared at this all day!Fried foie gras, encrusted with roasted hazelnuts, and served on a crostini. Be still my aching heart, oh my Lord, so so good!!!Even the balloon sculptor was on steroids, making T-Rexโs and cars not the usual sausage dog. Brilliant.Beautiful lobster tails, with loads of eggs in too. Mary was in heaven. Work it out folks, one of these whole is about $40 in Cold Storage. Have three and lunch is equalised ha ha!A live band was on too, and at this very precise moment were playing โHey Judeโ. Yes the real one, was very animated to the song!Us and The Knibbs, and behind with hands in air are The Hances. And if you look to the left of my head, there are The Halls.โHappy Baby Jude?โ Said I. I am in heaven Dad, big white fluffy cloud heaven!โ Said Jude.
I sent Ollie round now to take some more photos. My hands were tired from carrying plate after plate, and lifting all that Champagne.
Even the cold cuts were delicious. There is actually a meat carver spinning all lunchtime, filling up these plates of exotic meats and accompaniments.Well it was Xmas a short while ago and it is now New Year. But I love bottom left โ turkey giblet sauce, oh ding dong!Indian delights up next, starting with a whole Tandoori red Snapper. How good does that look. Wow!And then come all the curries and Dahlโs. I think you should be getting the drift now as to why this is such a good brunch. It is bonkers good!Desserts for the kids โ pretty much everything, including the walls, are edible! Maybe not the thing on the tracks, well youโd have to train me first how to!Walk up and start munching โ I love Rudolph the red-nosed Merlion!Knibbsy then orders the disco bus to take us home, for yet more fun!Cool cool lights and blaring music as we head back to Siglap, on a rather rainy day still.Family Knibbs now caught up in the music and lights, whoooooop Woooooop!
Probably should have got off the bus and went home for a lay down, but Jags was a calling our name.
OK letโs just have a couple more before home-time.
Friends together โ what an absolutely superb day!Phew I hadnโt fallen over, I was still there.
So there you have it folks, The Best NYE Brunch ever @ Pan Pacific. We always miss friends and family overseas of course, and to them a massive HAPPY NEW YEAR. To our great mates here, thank you for organising a wonderful NYE. Family Kennett had such a fun time, and I tell you what we will we be running back for more, and if you do I absolutely 100% guarantee you will! โ
