ChillaxBBQ Stay@Home Recipes: Charcuterie with Raclette Cheese
A rather lazy and easy one after yesterday’s food delivery shenanigans. I needed a break and we were too late to order for lunch. Luckily I had done a shop the day before when we gained our Freedom to leave the condo. Going to Cold Storage was like going to The Maldives. Amazing scenery, people, and food. So my lazy effort today is more a concept than a recipe.
But one that the whole family loved and chowed down on with gusto and enjoyment. #familydishesrule Here is ChillaxBBQ Stay@Home Recipes, AKA Charcuterie with Raclette Cheese. Extremely easy to do, but looks amazing and all restaurant-like. I love my new serving platters.
It’s so easy folks. Just buy a good selection of hams, salamis, cured sausages, and the like. Slice them really like in the photo, or buy them already sliced in the packet of course. Arrange them all lovely on your serving platter like below. I also added some salted and peppered tomatoes some toasted bread for a different flavour and some additional textures to ChillaxBBQ Stay@Home Recipes #16.
In parallel to this, I had bought a packet of Raclette cheese. Cut the rind off the cheese. Pop a little roasting tin on the hob on low heat and add the cheese. Keep an eye on it and it should gradually melt into one gorgeous fondue-like cheesy bath of gooey goodness. Serve it up straight away. with the charcuterie because your cheese dipping utensils are those slices of meat folks. Like a dick, I forgot to take a photo of the Raclette – but you will see it in the last photo, with Wifey digging in.
Charcuterie with Raclette Cheese
Heavenly lunch. If only I could crack a beer or a Prosecco. Still going dry, 16 days in now. Whoop Whoop!!!
Come on check that out. If ChillaxBBQ did Charcuterie Platters (which we do now), they would look like this when we served them. Damned fine!
It’s surely a family-fun lunch. We’re all dipping away here. Everyone is involved. Everyone is munching. It’s a cracking dish for the family.
