Bai Bai treated like Royalty @ My Little Spanish Place
ย
My Sister-in-law happens to with us from Brunei for a couple of weeks. We went shopping to get some Chelsea stuff for the kids, for the game in a coupe of weeks. We planned to have some drinks that night, and Mary mentioned, hmmm, she really wants to see Boat Quay at night. Hey presto we came up with the idea to book at my mate Edwardโs. So here is how we had Bai Bai treated like Royalty @ My Little Spanish Place.
It was almost like we planned all just to have Bai Bai treated like Royalty @ My Little Spanish Place. It was just an incredible night, with incredible food (as always). Here is how it unfolds. Quick apology though for photo quality, as this was not planned, so I only had my iPhone sadly. Hey ho, not bad, just not brilliant.
What happened was, as we sat there eating that a full practice run for Singapore National Day started. We told Bai Bai that we had organised it all just for her visit. Although I am not sure she believed us. This is why I called this blog and restaurant reviewBai Bai treated like Royalty @ My Little Spanish Place. Best seats in the house and best food on Boat Quay. Happy โ YES SHE WAS!!!
Its starts with about 10 parachutists jumping from a helicopter, spiralling down to the Padang.
Then we get the โfireโ jets (as Jude calls them) screeching past a few times (poor Jude hid). Then two Apache attack helicopters flip flopping about from MBFC over to Padang. Now some food. Yummo. First up is their garlic bread. So good!Girls all looking rather happy, and Jude Jude stuffing his face โ nice on Edward ha ha.These meatball are insane. That sauce I could bathe in โ it is absolutely the best. Try dipping the garlic bread in it โ holy shit! Also know as Albondigas. If you come here and do not order this, I will personally ban you from ever coming again. This is Table de Jamones. 4 different aged black-foot Iberian pig legs โ the eldest at one end of the platter is cured for 48 months. Death-row food folks, death-row food.A new one for us, the Esparragos a la Plancha. Basically grilled asparagus, with some superb crumbled cheese and crisped jamone โ OMG.The one dish we were not too keen on โ sort of a bruschetta. Didnโt float my boat. Edward mate, whereโs the one you used to construct yourself and the table โ now that was superb! These little bad boys are simply incredible. The lightest, creamiest, fluffiest mashed potato, add in Jamone, breadcrumb it and deep-fry. Holy shit! Amazing!Mary and Bai Bai get stuck in to the smoky paprika, garlic and chili prawns โ or Gambas al Ajillo. I tried the sauce with some bread, and it was absolutely stellar! Some incredible potatoes up next, with chili sauce, and cheese and herbs. Really really good. Also know as Patatas Bravas.Oh my goodness gracious me. This is the Iberico, or Secreto Iberico, a Chefโs Special. This is with home-made chips, and a balsamic reduction on top. This pork is the best ever, and thew way they cooked it here tonight was extremely good.Another one for the girls now, and again a Chef Speciality, and also Maryโs favourite. Edwardโs octopus. Or. Pulpo de la Casa. Octopus of the house I suppose. The girls stopped talking for a good 20 minutes when this was served, not thereโs a good sign!We arranged for a Chinook and 2 attack helicopters to fly past with the Singaporean flag for Bai Bai.We asked for the fireworks to begin!Rock n Roll Singapore! We had a CRACKING night! Edward, as always, you and your gang ROCK brother!I think Bai Bai had a great night! I sure did!

Bai Bai treated like Royalty @ My Little Spanish Place โ Mary and I had to organise fire jets, parachutists, helicopters, flag fly byโs fireworks, lazers etc. I hope Bai Bai appreciated the effort we had to put in ha ha. What a absolutely cracking night. This was better than trying to have the same experience on National Day. We were sat down comfortably, fed amazing food, nothing interrupted the view, and it was easy to get to and from home. It was great to see you Bai Bai, we hope you had fun and hope you rush back to us soon. Folks, if you do indeed get here before 9th August you are surely going to
