The Jungle Boy is the New Kid on the Telok Ayer Block

The Jungle Boy

The Jungle Boy has now opened on Telok Ayer!

The name Jungle Boy just grabbed my attention as I walked past last week, the 2nd thing was the $1 Coffee offer! So in I went phone in hand ready for a quick on the spot Jungle Boy Review!

Always Read the Small Print

The Jungle Boy Coffee Opening Special

As you can see from the image above the Jungle Boy opening Special for a coffee was only $1.

The sign was Good from Far but Far from Good as the expression goes!

Since I was on a road trip to Malaysia an added pastry was not a bad idea, so we carried on inside.

The Jungle Boy Pastry Selection

The Jungle Boy Pastry

Three pastry options to choose from the Pan au Chocolate, Butter Croissant and the Apple Turnover.

They had all been made in house but were standard fair to be honest. You can get such pastry at any regular coffee place.

After ordering and them making the Latte and Long Black coffees we were told payment by card or cash was not possible and they could only take specific apps, none of which we had! This was a bit frustrating but you have to be flexible with new places opening as they are going through their teething problems. So they agreed to take out cash, went to a neighboring place and got us our change!

Now that’s good service guys, well done for doing that!

Hopefully they now have alternative payment solutions in place for the next visit!

The Jungle Boy Beers on Tap

The Jungle Boy Beers on Tap are outstanding, Little Creatures, Estrella Galicia and Hoegarden! The prices for the beers are not listed on the menu below but some feedback has been $10++ for Little Creatures which is a very good price point for CBD beers!

They also have an extensive Cocktail list to choose from and even have Keto Friendly cocktails

When I saw The Jungle Boy name and the cocktail list it reminded me of the Um Bongo Drink Advert!

Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, A hippo took an apricot, a guava and a mango. He stuck it with the others, and he danced a dainty tango. The rhino said, “I know, we’ll call it Um Bongo”

Um Bongo, Um Bongo, They drink it in the Congo. The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin. The parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in. So when it comes to sun and fun and goodness in the jungleThey all prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!
