Originally planned as The Duxton Club by Starwood in 2016, the property was conceptualized as a two-building, one-hotel concept comprising Duxton House and Duxton Terrace. Both of these occupy pre-war colonial heritage buildings, bearing testament to the area’s fascinating past.

However, following Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood, the hotel’s ownership pivoted towards a new management deal with Six Senses. It was under this brand that the doors first opened to the 49-room Six Senses Duxton in 2018, followed by the launch of the larger 138-room sister property in Maxwell later that same year.

This marked a new era in the hotel industry, with the Six Senses’ first urban property being met with much excitement. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Six Senses made a swift exit from the Singapore market. Enter Marriott once again, and so, the Duxton Reserve and Maxwell Reserve were born, now operating under the Autograph Collection brand.

Yellow Pot is a modern Chinese restaurant located in the Duxton Reserve hotel in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore. It offers a contemporary take on Cantonese cuisine, focusing on delivering classic Chinese flavours with a modern twist.

The restaurant follows a clean eating philosophy, using fresh, natural ingredients and avoiding MSG, additives, and artificial flavourings in its dishes. Yellow Pot provides a family-style a-la-carte menu as well as set menus for a more comprehensive dining experience.

Their signature dish, roast duck, is a must-try. The duck is marinated for two days in a fermented beancurd paste, then roasted over hickory wood to produce meat that’s aromatic, tender, and adorned with a glistening layer of crispy skin.

This feast for your senses is truly a reflection of the culinary artistry of Chef Sebastian Goh, who has more than 18 years of global experience managing restaurants and cultivating the talents of aspiring chefs.
