Butter Bacon Prawns Recipe, was something special for Wifey and Strawberry Blonde today. Just for something to do and a leg stretch, I took Amy over to the supermarket and they had MONSTER, super-fresh prawns for sale. 

It sent my mind flooding back to Malacca and the Portuguese Settlement food court and those incredible Butter Prawns. Remember them? Well, this became my version of them for lunch today. Butter Bacon Prawns Recipe.

Butter Bacon Prawns Recipe

Have a look at those bad boys. Huge Tiger Prawns I would assume from Thailand or Indonesia. Dare I say cooked to perfection and plated all Chef-like? I think so… haha!!! Come on you’d be happy if you ordered your meal and this dish rocked up.

You will need;

  • 12x super-prawns
  • 1/2 pack of quality salted butter (or ghee)
  • 3 Tbsp of finely chopped garlic
  • 5-6 sprigs of fresh Thyme
  • 1/2 a packet of bacon bits
  • 1 packet of finely chopped Chives for garnish
  • 3 Tbsp of fried garlic (you can buy this at the supermarket)
  • Sea salt & cracked black pepper
  • A little Olive oil.

Get in there, folks. We have another month to go to Stay@Home in Singapore, so I’ll keep trying to cook and write up recipes so you don’t have to rely completely on take-out and home delivery. Butter Bacon Prawns Recipe is another good example and so very simple to prep, cook and plate as you will see from the video.
