THE INFINITE SPACE EXPLORERS REVIEW: Islifearecipe visit The Science Centre Singapore
The Infinite Space Explorers Review at The Science Centre Singapore: Have you ever been emotionally moved by a museum or science exhibit? Are you mad, I can hear you stating, are you serious Brian…? Well, folks, for me that did indeed happen today. I was given a family referral to attend a ‘must-try’ exhibit in Singapore, and off I went to Jurong with the kids to explore. I was blown away: both emotionally and in all my senses. It is breathtaking, and I was left speechless…
The Infinite Space Explorers Review: Contents
At one point you are standing on the International Space Station looking back at Earth, and I don’t mind admitting it, a tear welled up in my VR headset. As one of the Astronauts stated: “It makes you realise how insignificant and small you are…” Powerful stuff.
It truly is one of the very best things I have experienced in my life… I implore you to visit and experience this, kids, adults, all… hey bring the pets: well, dogs have been to space as well…
The Infinite Science Centre Review: VR on Steroids...
But what is this most amazing thing? Well, The Science Centre Singapore has introduced “Space Explorers: THE INFINITE,” an immersive virtual reality (VR) experience that transports you up into space and to the International Space Station (ISS) to interact with the astronauts, including witnessing a stunning space walk: the first time two female astronauts have ever done so.
When I say immersive, I mean IMMERSIVE. With your VR headset you physically walk through the ISS, you watch astronauts go about their daily lives as they explain how they feel (this filming was shot over two years during Covid) including emotional moments of not being there for their families. You are virtually connected to your friends and family in the virtual world, as well as other visitors and the staff. Yes, you are physically walking, but can see virtual people to avoid bumping into each other… watch our VIDEO to the end so you can see the ‘real-world’ experience of this exhibit, it might also blow your mind.
The Infinite Space Explorers Reviews: voice of the Science Centre

One visitor said: “Visiting the The Infinite Space Explorers at the Singapore Science Centre was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the immersive journey through the cosmos. Every minute was worth it as we explored the wonders of space, from stunning visual displays to engaging interactive exhibits.
A special thanks to the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff who guided us through this incredible adventure. Their enthusiasm and expertise made our visit even more memorable and enjoyable. If you’re in Singapore and have a passion for space and science, the Infinite Space Explorer is an absolute must-see. It’s an adventure that leaves you both awestruck and inspired. 🌌🚀✨
Thank you, Singapore Science Centre, for providing such a phenomenal experience!”

The Science Centre Annexe: The Infinite Space Explorers
Upon arrival at the Annexe Hall, you go through a series of briefings before being equipped with your Meta Quest 2 VR headsets. The adventure is centred around you walking through a 3D replica of the ISS. Interactive floating “orbs” within the station, that you virtually ‘touch’, that then provide 360-degree video content, showcasing astronauts’ daily routines and missions.
There are four virtual zones that you interact with, and in between you get shown the most awe-inspiring footage from space in full 360. This allows you to meander within the environment at your own pace, offering a personalised experience: or, as Jude and I did, held hands and walked together. I promise you, it is weird learning to walk in virtual reality, like going back to being a one-year-old (warning, you may get a little disoriented by the experience).
Given the popularity of the exhibit, please book in advance, and you do need to as it was mobbed when we attended, and trying to do it on a handphone at the turnstile was not ideal (yes, that was me). The exhibit is running until 24 March 2025: Please don’t miss your chance to experience this, because this exhibit offers you and the family a unique opportunity to explore space without leaving Red Dot.
It is just an outstanding one-of-a-kind immersive and engaging VR experience for those interested in space and technology: or just to allow you to see Planet Earth from space, it’s a WOW. It’s such a beautiful addition to Singapore’s attractions, albeit there is an end date, providing a taste of space exploration within the city and superb indoor entertainment for the kids away from the current rainy weather.
The Infinite Space Explorers Review: Final thoughts...
One of the ultimate highlights is watching the spacewalk. You do this from a designated seat that you find by ‘following your individual light path’. You are then on the outside of the ISS, a first ever VR experience shot in outer space, and watch astronauts exiting the station for an emergency space walk, and witness panoramic views of Earth and the vastness of space. A soundtrack composed by Frédérick Bégin made me even more emotional during the experience, adding musical depth to the visual VR spectacle.
Once you’ve finished, the exhibit also features footage from NASA’s Artemis I launch, whilst providing insights into future lunar missions: including Mars. It lasts about an hour end to end, so for circa $40 for an adult, this exhibit is one bargain and a half… GREAT JOB Science Centre Singapore, this is by far the best you have ever done. Promise me you will attend? ENJOY!!!
