Singapore, 17 February 2023, Friday – Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay, a premier five-star hotel known for its exceptional service and luxury amenities, is proud to announce the launch of its official wine for the year thereby marking a new standard in beverage hospitality.
Paradox is a Canadian-born hospitality brand and was developed by a team of experienced hoteliers in Vancouver, BC Canada. Both the hotel and global brand focus on creating a unique guest experience.
In collaboration with award-winning Danish winery, Frederiksdal, Paradox Singapore will introduce a wide range of sour cherry inspired cocktails, wines and alcohol-free beverages in an exquisite offering for its guests.

Possibly Singapore’s First Wine Barrel Pulls
Cherry wines and even the organic cherry juice will be offered in a variety of styles to suit the hotel’s stylish and modern aesthetic.
Guests will be able to savour the inherent goodness of sour cherry beverages during their stay including drawing wine live from a vaunted 450L French oak barrel used to maturate the Frederiksdal Rancio now standing in their Ellenborough Market Café. The unveiling of the barrel will be conducted at the press event today with Ms. Annette Scarfe MW, mentor of Frederiksdal’s winemaker Jonas Tofterup MW and Ms. Jessie KhooGan, Paradox Singapore’s General Manager.
Paradox’s Commitment to Sustainability
Frederiksdal is the current EMBLA Nordic Food Producer of the Year awarded by the Nordic Council of Food Ministers as a testament to its impeccable reputation in food sustainability. From its 40-hectare estate of cherry fields to its wider 27 square kilometers of verdant organic farmlands south of Copenhagen, Frederiksdal makes only spontaneously fermented cherry wines using traditional wine-making techniques by its Master of Wine winemaker, Jonas Tofterup MW.
