3 Cheese Fondue & Tomato Salad – 2x Kids Breakfasts in one
3 cheese fondue: Again those lucky kids score big time for brekkie today. We had bugger all in the fridge. Wifey also needed a few other things, so off I went to grab some necessities and inspiration. And this is how these two beauties came about today for Strawberry Blonde & Jude Jude. Lucky or what? Not a Coco Crunch or Cornflake in sight…
3 Cheese Fondue & Tomato Salad – 2x Kids Brekkie
In a bowl mix up; 10 or so small tomatoes cut to quarters, 10 or so small Mozzarella balls, 10 or so ripped-up sweet basil leaves, some mini-crunchy breadsticks, a glug of olive oil, a good pinch to two of sea salt, cracked black pepper and a drizzle of your very best Balsamic – mix it all up and serve in the cup, just like in the photo.
Get some decent Jamon and roll individual slices on skewers for fondue dipping, and some of those mini breadsticks. In a pan add in your three cheese choices.
I went with Gorgonzola, Monterey Jack, and mozzarella, add in a dusting of cornflour and about 2x Tbsp of Mirin or white wine. Low heat, keep stirring, and melt until smooth and silky. Pour in a cup and serve away with the dipping bits and pieces. Looks bloody brilliant…
