Why Kee's Restaurant in Clarke Quay Should Be Your Next Weekend Brunch Spot
Kee’s Restaurant is located at 21 Carpenter Street, directly opposite Clarke Quay MRT Station. It’s a prime destination for restaurants in Clarke Quay and one of the most talked-about Clarke Quay restaurants this year. With booth seating, warm lights and a casual yet upscale bistro vibe, it’s a go-to for brunch, drinks, or a leisurely lunch near the river.
From across the river, you get a clear look at the exterior, which blends into its Clarke Quay surrounds while still maintaining a distinctive bistro charm.
Andrew Walsh, the Michelin-starred chef best known for his now-closed restaurant Cure, serves as the Culinary Director at Kee's. Chef Kenno previously had the chance to experience Cure firsthand — you can read his take on that memorable meal here. His leadership certainly adds culinary clout to the Kee’s experience.
Step under the covered walkway and you’ll arrive at the warm wooden-framed glass entrance. Kee’s is directly accessible for hotel guests via a stylish lobby lounge next door, offering hotel-brunch convenience.
One of Kee’s understated advantages is its direct access from the 21 Carpenter Street hotel lobby, offering seamless connectivity for guests staying at the boutique hotel next door. That convenience makes it particularly attractive for travellers looking for a quality brunch without going far. You can also explore other food options at Clarke Quay Central just around the corner.
The main dining area is beautifully split-level, with curved booths, minimalist furnishings, and tasteful lighting. Whether seated at the open bar, near the windows, or in one of the cosy corners, you’ll enjoy a good balance of light and privacy — qualities not always found in other restaurants in Clarke Quay.
One of the best touches? The booths. Comfortable, semi-enclosed and elegant, they’re ideal for private chats or date-day brunches. These four-seater curved booths provide an intimate touch within a public dining space.
Beyond the main dining area, the bar and cold kitchen are clearly visible — part of Kee’s open concept. You can watch the chefs plate desserts in the cold kitchen area, giving the whole experience a modern, transparent touch often missed at other Clarke Quay restaurants.
Kee’s Restaurant Weekend Brunch Review: What We Ate
Steak and Eggs – $30
Wanderer ribeye cooked medium rare, with sunny side up egg, chimichurri and pickled red onion. Simple but refined, and packed with flavour.
Fennel Scotch Egg – $22
A Scotch egg with a perfect runny yolk, duroc pork crust, and fresh salad greens. A must-try at this bistro bar Singapore. For fans of this classic, here's a throwback to the Rabbit Carrot Gun Scotch Egg Cooking Competition where Chef Kenno took home the top spot in the amateur category!
Kee’s Smash Bacon Cheeseburger – $26
Served medium rare with bacon ketchup and straight-cut fries. Comfort food executed well – juicy, cheesy, crispy.
Breaded Onion Rings – $9
Golden-brown and crunchy, with pink wasabi mayo for a mild spicy edge. Served as a side but good enough to eat solo.
Sticky Toffee Pudding – $16
A proper British-style dessert – moist, rich, with butterscotch sauce on the side and a dollop of ginger chantilly served separately.
Chocolate Millefeuille
Puff pastry layered with chocolate mousse, pandan ice cream, and crushed hazelnuts. This was complimentary for us to try as it's a recent addition to the menu – though as always, this did not affect our review (we won’t be bought with free desserts 😄)!
Drinks at Kee’s: Zero-Proof with Depth
Zero-proof drinks are more than a passing trend. With health-conscious dining on the rise and mindful drinking growing in popularity, the no-alcohol cocktail list at Kee’s is a standout feature. These drinks are refreshing and thoughtfully curated. One of the exciting new entrants in this category is Barnes & Brown Non-Alcoholic Spirits – a game-changer proving this trend isn’t going anywhere (watch this space).
