Review of Sushi-GO

Sushi-GO is one of the more fun places to eat in Jurong Point. Your order arrives at the table on a mini bullet train, so you spend less time waiting and more time watching the plates roll past. Once you have paid, you also get two coins for the ice cream claw machine, which is a nice touch for younger diners.

The menu is large, with more than 150 sushi, hot dishes and desserts, and it is put together by a Japanese chef. I would start with the GO-Tamago Set, the Salmon Ikura Chirashi and the Una Tama handroll, then try one of the GO-Series platters if you are sharing. Prices start from about $1.80 a plate, and most people spend around $10 to $30 each.

Sushi-GO takes walk-ins only and does not accept reservations, so expect a queue during lunch and dinner peaks. Arrive early on weekends if you can.

Not everyone in your group has to want sushi. The restaurant sits inside the &JOY Japanese Food Street, so you can grab something else from the neighbours: Yakiniku-GO for smoke-free barbecue, Ramen Kiou for Osaka-style pork bone ramen, or Tsukimi Hamburg for hand-shaped hamburg steaks.
