Eastside Golden Grill has rebooted its flame game at East Village with a tight menu where the grill leads the conversation. If the name rings a bell, that’s because Eastside Golden Grill was formerly at Cosford Container Park. Expect modern, clean lines inside, a friendly buzz, and Chef Mas working the pass while Celine orchestrates quietly in the background. What We Ate
For the smashed burger, Chef Mas grounds the beef himself and those fluffy brioche buns were like clouds! Chef even came out from behind the kitchen to say hi and passed us napkins seeing my mouth getting messy with his smashed burger!
Fries — golden, well-seasoned and portioned to share; the natural sidekick to burgers and chops.
They have now beat the Fatty Patty Burger and Grill on price and flavour for the basic burger, though Fatty Patty has a more variety of offerings for burgers — certainly competition here in Simpang Bedok.
Next time, we’re lining up the house Pork Chop, a medium-rare Ribeye with extra house butter showing that same attention to detail, and that Surf & Turf for a table flex.
I have to say this is my new go to for a burger joint from now on! Note I am taking the fam there Saturday as it's that good!
The Bill: S$32 for 2 diners (two Smash Burgers). Value lunch, zero regrets.
