Baked King Crab: Back from Malacca and in a food spin. What to do? Dinner fast approaching for family K. In a strange moment, I came up with Baked King Crab with Burnt Butter Sauce. Well, it is certainly a new recipe for me. I really was desperate to try and make a burnt butter sauce and made the bold assumption that it would work really well with King Crab. According to the feedback from the family, it worked very well. It worked very well indeed. They now want me to try it on prawns, and maybe even on lamb but changing the herb to Thyme or Rosemary. I love my family. My biggest supporters and ideas-house!!!

Holy cow – for a family starter, seriously, you really are lucky buggers… Best Baked King Crab Recipe: with Burnt Butter Sauce.

You will need – for a starter for 4 people;

  • I popped to the local supermarket and bought some pre-cooked King Crab pieces as above;
  • 3 packs of fresh flat-leaf parsley – roughly chopped;
  • 200g of salted butter;
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice;
  • Sea salt and cracked Kampot black pepper;
  • 2 Tsp of finely chopped garlic;
  • 2 lemons – one for the first squeeze and one for plating;
  • Olive oil.

  1. Put the crab pieces in a roasting tray;
    1. Drizzle with Olive Oil;
    2. Give a good sprinkle of sea salt and cracked black Kampot pepper;

    2. Sprinkle the remaining fresh chopped parsley over the top;
    3. Cut the remaining lemon into wedges and pop on the corner of the plate.
